Pathfinder Survival School - 16th/ 17th August
Join Young Pathfinders this summer at our famous action packed Survival School.
This 2 day event will cover the four main principles of survival including shelter, fire, water and food and will run from Thursday 16th and Friday 17th August at our woodland base camp in Coleorton, amidst a 400 acre forest.
Each day the children will take part in different activities designed to challenge them, to be fun and to be rewarding.
For budding Bear Grylls wannabees this survival school is the perfect opportunity to learn critical survival skills in a wilderness environment
For children aged from 5 through to 15 years old
principles of survival
fire lighting, building & maintaining
toasting marshmallows & hot chocolate
Navigation - using the sun, compass and terrain
Water sourcing & purification
Hunting skills, target practice and animal tracking
Foraging/ Wild foods/ Edible insects
Obstacle course, including tyrolean traverse/ rope swings
OPTIONAL - Camp out over night On Thursday - Sleep in shelters, cook survival food, take part in a night exercise
The cost of this is £22 per child per day
Each day will start at 930am and finish at 3pm..
